I’m Keisha, the one woman show behind Keisha Lee Caughey Photography! I specialize in weddings, portraits and families and capture both film and digital images. I have been shooting professionally for 8 years but have had a camera in my right hand, for most of life.

I grew up in a household that loved the arts but never believed they could be career. I played the violin and the piano. I sang in every choir or band that would have me. I taught myself how to play guitar and started writing and performing my own music. I photographed every family vacation we ever took, as well as photographing my friends whenever I got the chance. Being I grew up in the 90’s, that meant taking photos on 35mm film and using a Polaroid Spectra that was bigger than I was; but the memories and moments captured were priceless and that’s a huge part of why I still shoot on film today!

After many years of soul searching and feeling like life was passing me by, I decided I wanted to do photography professionally. I started second shooting for various midwest wedding photographers, as well as doing workshops all over the country to further my education and hone my craft. It didn’t take long for me know I had made the right decision. There is nothing that can top doing something that you love every single day and helping others capture memories that will last a lifetime.

I know first hand how important capturing the special moments can be, as you never know where life will lead. That’s why I strive to not only capture great photographs but the emotion behind them, so you can relive the most important days of your life, for years to come.
